"Magical East" at the Tokaj Museum

On June 21 at 6:00 PM, the event titled “Secrets of the Magical East” began with the partici-pation of teachers delegated by the ELTE Confucius Institute to Tokaji Ferenc High School. The event, held as part of the nationwide “Night of Museums” program series, took place at the Tokaj Museum and World Heritage Wine Museum.
Visitors were first treated to a lecture by Teacher Chen Xing titled “The Charm of Beijing – Living Heritage in the Harmony of Past and Present,” where she presented the development and transformations of the ancient yet modern city, focusing on how the achievements of mo-dern life and ancient historical relics can harmoniously coexist in the Chinese capital.
After the lecture, the audience could enjoy a variety of colorful programs: they tasted special Chinese foods and drinks, tried Chinese calligraphy with the help of teacher Qiu Xue, and admired Chinese objects displayed in a temporary exhibition set up in the museum.
