A delegation from iFLYTEK visits ELTE

2023. February 28.

On February 28th, Duan Dawei, Senior Vice President of iFlytek Co., Ltd. (iFlytek), visited Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE) in Hungary. The guests were greeted by Vice President of ELTE and Hungarian Director of the ELTE Confucius Institute Dr. Imre Hamar. Also present were Consul General Szilárd Bolla of the Hungarian Consulate in Shanghai, ELTE’s National Strategy Office Head Eszter Knyihár, and Director of Special Projects at the Confucius Institute Anna Csikó.



During the meeting, Dr. Imre Hamar extended a warm welcome to the iFlytek delegation, acknowledging them as the first Chinese delegation to visit ELTE since the outbreak of the pandemic. The sinologist went on to introduce the rich history of ELTE, the structure of its academic departments, and the development of the Chinese Department. Chinese Director of the ELTE Confucius Institute Li Denggui also spoke about the achievements of the ELTE Confucius Institute in Chinese language teaching and cultural exchange over the past 16 years, as well as the institute's efforts in promoting cultural exchange between China and Hungary.

Vice President Duan Dawei expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome and then introduced the developmental history of iFlytek and the achievements the company has made in the field of artificial intelligence development. He also highlighted the practical applications of iFlytek's products in the fields of medicine and education and the company's plans for future development in Hungary. He expressed a willingness to cooperate with ELTE in the field of education, especially in the development of language intelligence.



In recent years, as one of the most famous, comprehensive universities in Hungary, ELTE has attached great importance to the development of cooperation and exchange with Chinese universities and research institutions and has made positive contributions to cultural and technological exchange between China and Hungary. The meeting between iFlytek and ELTE marks a promising collaboration between the two institutions in the future.
