Summer camp in China for high-school students

This year, for the 5th time, ELTE Confucius Institute and its partner instute, Beijing Foreign Languages University – will be organizing a summer camp where ten students of Chinese between the ages of 12 and 18 have the opportunity to spend 10 days in the capital of China, Beijing. The camp will welcome students of Chinese from 12 countries in Asia, Europe and the Americas, who come to test their knowledge of Chinese language and culture.

During the event, as well as improving their language skills, students will also have plenty of opportunities for amusement and sightseeing. In addition to cultural performances – Chinese opera, a kung-fu demonstration, a gastronomic evening, etc. – the young students can learn about Chinese paper cutting and techniques for making the opera masks as well.

We hope that the time spent in China and the experience will encourage the students to continue Chinese language and further education.
