Young Entrepreneurs’ Week – “China Day”

In view 21st century economic trends, The Young Entrepreneurs Association (FIVOSZ) – as well as The Young Entrepreneurs' Week series of events - organized a "China Day" conference for interested young entrepreneurs in the Károlyi-Csekonics residence. Our program director Lívia Szentmártoni represented ELTE Confucius Institute at the conference, with a lecture entitled Golden Rules in Chinese Business Life.

The event began with a speech by the leader of FIVOSZ, Patrik Kovács. The Conference was formally opened during a presentation by Mrs. Chen Xiaojun, accredited political counselor of the People's Republic of China in Hungary , . The Counselor welcomed the conference theme in her address; as yet, she pointed out, "China is much more familiar with the world than the world is with China'. It is essential to know the country's culture and language in order to start a successful business in China. She then praised the inaugural lecture by Prof. Dr. Zoltán Cséfalvay, MP and State Secretary of Economic Strategy , with the title The Relations of Hungary in Asian Destinations. Besides the Confucius Institute program director, other speakers represented Hita, ChinaCham, the Research Centre of the Institute for World Economic Research in Asia and the Hungarian Institute of International Affairs, as well as outstanding business leaders who have made successful debuts on the Chinese market.
