Advanced Landscape Painting Course in the Autumn Semester

The ELTE Confucius Institute once again organized its 10-session advanced landscape painting course for the autumn semester, starting on October 7, 2025. The course is attended by students who previously completed one of the institute’s flower or landscape painting programs and already possess the technical foundations of Chinese ink painting.
The current class consists of 11 participants. Sessions are held on Tuesdays from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., with a special focus on the depiction of trees in traditional Chinese landscape painting. After practicing various techniques of tree representation, participants proceed to create a complex ink landscape composition.
The course is taught by Janisz Horváth, calligrapher and typographer, who has been active at the institute since 2015 and has regularly led its art courses since 2017. First launched in September 2018, the advanced landscape painting course has been offered every semester due to continuous interest. The current course will end on December 16.
