LEARNING CHINESE – WITH ONLINE STUDY MATERIAL

One of China’s most widely read daily papers dedicated a separate article to describing the latest form of teaching Chinese in our institution: the online Chinese language lessons available on the website kinaiul.hu. The ”Light” daily paper (Guangming ribao), January 6, 2013

"...The system of online Chinese language lessons is a relatively new initiative in Hungary. It was the ELTE Confucius Institute in Hungary who first came up with the idea at the national educational exhibition organised in the autumn of 2012. This project was specifically launched for people who have no means of learning Chinese where they live, who cannot take part in courses with fixed timetables, or who would like to consolidate their knowledge by themselves, outside the framework of Chinese language lessons. ..."

Today, it is getting increasingly convenient to learn Chinese in Hungary. More than 200 Chinese language courses are started every year, partly in the capital, Budapest, partly in different county towns. Many people participate in the courses: students represent a very wide social scale, ranging from primary and secondary students to adults engaged in various professions. Besides them, many also opt for online Chinese learning. The system of online Chinese language lessons is a relatively new initiative in Hungary. It was the ELTE Confucius Institute in Hungary who first came up with the idea at the national educational exhibition organised in the autumn of 2012. This project was specifically launched for people who have no means of learning Chinese where they live, who cannot take part in courses with fixed timetables, or who would like to consolidate their knowledge by themselves, outside the framework of Chinese language lessons. All Hungarians interested in Chinese can buy the online Chinese lessons through the website specified, and increase their knowledge of Chinese. The online language course includes the course material of the locally published students’ book entitled Chinese language for Hungarians, and offers a variety of learning methods. For every single character, word or sentence the standard Chinese pronounciation (puyonghua) is also provided. Furthermore, for every character there is also an animated diagram illustrating stroke order. Of the course material we can say that it is both audible and colourful.

《光明日报》：孔子学院的网络天地

近期发布的《中国国家形象调查报告2012》显示，互联网已成为海外民众了解中国最主要的途径之一。随着网络和新媒体的飞速发展，对外汉语教学、传播中国文化的方式也不再仅仅限于书本知识和言传身教，越来越多的外国人通过网络来学习汉语和了解中国文化。

在匈牙利，学习汉语正变得越来越方便。匈牙利每年的汉语课程有两百多班次，一部分在首都布达佩斯，另一部分在外地的各个城市，学员遍及大、中小学及 社会各工作领域。此外，还有不少人选择在线学习汉语。在匈牙利，汉语在线课程是一个相当“年轻”的项目，由匈牙利罗兰大学孔子学院在2012年秋季的国家 语言教育展上首次推出。这个项目是专门为居住城市没有汉语学习机会、无法参加固定时间的汉语班，或者在汉语课外想要自我巩固的学习者设立的。每一名对汉语 感兴趣的匈牙利人都可以通过访问相关网站购买汉语在线课程，提高自己的汉语水平。

在线课程结合孔院本土教材《匈牙利汉语课本》提供了多种学习模式。每个字、每个词、每个句子都配有标准普通话发音。每个汉字都配有按照笔画顺序描红的flash动画。可以说，课程的内容是“有声有色”。
