Seventh conference of Confucius Institutes

2012. december 15.

The seventh conference of Confucius Institutes was organised between December 15-18 with the participation of more than 400 directors of Confucius Institutes and heads of the foreign and Chinese universities which founded these institutes.

The ELTE Confucius Institute was represented by deputy-rector Gábor Erdődy, member of the advisory board and Hanban advisor Ferencz Hudecz, director Imre Hamar and deputy-director Qi Baihua. At the conference, Ferenc Hudecz addressed the rectors’ forum, while Imre Hamar gave a speech at the directors’ forum.

During the conference, the director of the Hanban, Xu Lin, received the ELTE delegation separately. He emphasised that the ELTE Confucius Institute does an excellent job, and expressed his gratitude to the leadership of ELTE for their support for the institute’s work. Prior to the conference, between December 13 and 15, Ferencz Hudecz and Imre Hamar took part in the conference of the Beijing Foreign Studies University and Confucius Institutes, where the participants gave a report on their institutes’ activities in the previous year and discussed the opportunities for the further development of their institutes.
