Confucius Institute at ELTE University Hosted a Lecture on "Modern Chinese Business“

2022. November 29.

On November 29th at 18:00 local time, the Confucius Institute at ELTE University held a lecture on "Modern Chinese Business" in Kodály Hall. Mr. Gábor Holch, founder of Shanghai Campanile Management Consulting and an alumnus of ELTE University, gave a lecture titled "Awakening the Dragon - Modern China Lecture Series." Ms. Enikő Gájász, head of cultural activities of ELTE’s Confucius Institute, hosted the lecture.

Moreover, Mr. Holch shared with the audience the cross-cultural issues that foreigners may encounter in various aspects of working in China today, including challenges and opportunities, as well as practical cultural adjustment strategies. In closing, he noted that, in recent years, a new round of technological revolutions and industrial changes have been taking place around the world. It is expected that China's constantly optimized investment environment will attract more foreign investment, and expatriates working in China will need to accordingly keep up with the times and combine their intercultural skills with their corporate management skills to further deepen and develop their cooperation with Chinese companies.

Through this seminar, the participants gained a deeper understanding of the contemporary economic situation in China, what it is like working in China, and business management from an intercultural perspective. ELTE Confucius Institute will continue to build a communication platform for expatriates who wish to work for Chinese companies. We hope that more entrepreneurs like Mr. Holch will provide more practical seminars for expatriates.
